Pub Review: Newtown Hotel, Newtown, Sydney

The Newtown Hotel is a pub located in Newtown, an inner west suburb of Sydney. Originally opening in 1887 as the Club Hotel, the pub has gone by many names before taking on its current name in 1967.

All the Australian pub classics are available on the pub’s menu with extensive pizza list rounding out the varied menu. The venue’s drinks menu features a wide selection of wines that caters to all tastes.

The pub is one of the area’s largest with a number of distinct spaces across its two floors. The best of these spaces is spacious second floor veranda which overlooks busy King Street.
