

Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (Hamburg Central Station) is the main station serving the city of Hamburg. On average, 550,000 passengers use the station daily making it the busiest train station in Germany and second busiest across Europe.
The station functions as through station connecting to several cities across Germany via intercity express trains. Passengers that arrive at the station can easily connect to the city’s U-Bahn and S-Bahn train networks.
The station also serves as an important junction for long distance trains connecting Northern Europe to Central Europe and on to cities in western and southern Europe.
The station features an onsite shopping centre called the Wandelhalle that features a number of convenient outlets for travellers.
