
Noi Bai International Airport is an international airport serving the city of Hanoi, Vietnam. The airport is the second busiest in Vietnam after Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City.
HAN opened in 1978 and gradually became the city’s principal airport replacing the more centrally located Gia Lam Airport.
The airport features two parallel runways that service the domestic terminal 1 and the international terminal 2.
The airport serves as a hub for national carrier Vietnam Airlines and an operating base for Bamboo Airways and VietJet Air. The airport is also served by another 51 airlines that offer flights to cities across Asia, Oceania, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
The airport is located in the Phú Minh commune within the Sóc Sơn district approximately 35 km northeast of downtown Hanoi. Taxis and rideshare services are available at the airport.
