Loos American Bar is a famous bar located along Kärntner Straße in the centre of Vienna, Austria. The bar has been operating for over 100 years and is one of the city’s most famous and smallest bars.

The bar was designed by Adolf Loos in 1908 using a mixture of wood, glass, brass and onyx, unique for the time and groundbreaking for the influence it would have on the future of modernist bar design. At only 27 meters squared the bar is known for cozy atmosphere with mirrors used cleverly to give the venue a larger-than-life, never-ending appearance.

Loos’s is known to attract a wide variety of visitors with everything from the curious tourist to regular locals known to visit the famous bar, sometimes even at the same time! Few venues can bolster having survived two world wars, inspired architectural movements, still managing to serve some of the best cocktails in Europe.
