Airport Review: Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS)

Lynden Pindling International Airport is an international airport primarily serving the city of Nassau in the Bahamas. The airport serves as the primary international gateway in the Bahamian archipelago. The airport is named after Lynden Pindling, the first Prime Minister of the Bahamas. The airport ranks within the top 5 busiest airports in the Caribbean.

The airport serves as a hub for Bahamasair, Pineapple Air and Western Air. The airport is also served by another 19 airlines that offer flights to Europe and North and Central America.

The airport features two runaways that service the airports three terminals. Terminal A handles domestic flights and those international flights not headed to the United States. Terminal B is dedicated to arrivals and customs. Terminal C is dedicated to flights depart for the United States including U.S. Customs and Border Protection pre-clearance.

The airport is located on New Providence island with the Bahamas. Transit times between the airport and popular areas of the island vary but expect the trip to take between 20-40 minutes to reach locations like Downtown Nassau, Cable Beach and Paradise Island. Rideshare apps do not operate in the Bahamas making taxis or preorganised transfers your best option when you arrive.
