
Norman Manley International Airport is an international airport serving the city of Kingston in Jamaica. The airport was formerly known as Palisadoes Airport before adopting its current name in honour of the first Premier of Jamaica Norman Manely.
The airport serves as a hub for Caribbean Airlines and another 15 airlines that offer 130 flights per week to destinations in North America, Central America, Europe and the Caribbean.
KIN features one runway to serves the airports single terminal. The terminal handles both international and domestic flights with passengers arriving on the lower level and departing from the upper level.
The airport was featured in the first James Bond film Dr.No although much of the airport seen in the film has since been heavily mondernised.
The airport is located in Palisadoes, a tombolo in Kingston Harbour. The airport is located approximately 15-30km from Downtown Kingston and New Kingston. Expect the journey to take approximately 30 minutes. We suggest organising a private transport with your accommodation before arriving. Purchasing a sim card on arrival is difficult and expect to be approached by several drivers as soon as you leave the arrivals area.
