Airport Review: Las Américas International Airport (SDQ)

Las Américas International Airport is an international airport serving the city of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Despite being the airport serving the Dominican capital, SDQ is the country’s second busiest airport after Punta Cana. The airport ranks within the top 5 busiest airports in the Caribbean.

The airport serves as hub for Arajet and Skyhigh Dominicana as well as another 19 airlines connecting the airport to cities across North, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Europe.

Las Americas Airport features one runway that services the airports two terminals. Terminals A and B are connected and both handle domestic and international flights.

SDQ airport is located 33km east from the Santo Domingo city centre and approximately 28km from the historic colonial centre. Taxis and rideshare services are available once you exit the arrivals area. Expect the trip into the city to take approximately 45 minutes.
