
Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is an international airport serving the cities of Dallas, Fort Worth and areas of northern Texas. DFW is the third largest airport in the world by overall size, third busiest in the world and second busiest across the United States.
The airport serves as a major hub for American Airlines and an operating base for Frontier Airlines and Spirit Airlines. The airport is also serviced by another 33 airlines that offer flights to 269 destinations across the United States and 73 destinations across North America, South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
The airport features seven runways that service the airport’s five terminals (lettered from A to E). A sixth terminal is currently under construction. Each terminal features a semi-circle design and placed alongside each other on each side of the international parkway. The DFW skylink is an automated people mover that connects each terminal.
DFW is located approximately 30km from downtown Dallas and 32km from Fort Worth. The airport is well connected to a number of public transportation options. Bus service that connects to the airport includes the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) and Trinty Metro. Rail services that connect to the airport include DART light rail, Tex Rail and the Trintiy Railway Express. Taxi and ride share services are also readily available at all terminals.
