Pub Review: The Terminus, Pyrmont

The Terminus is pub located in the heart of Pyrmont, an inner-city area of Sydney. The pub was originally known as the Cooper Arms Hotel and established in 1865.

The pub was rebuilt and renamed as The Terminus by brewer Tooth & Co. in 1917. The pub was given the name Terminus due to its location at the end of the former tram line that used to run along John Street.

The pub closed in 1984 and would remain closed for over 30 years becoming famous for ivy that covered the majority of the building’s exterior. The pub reopened in 2018 with the building restored and most of historic features persevered. The reopened venue features a lower-level front bar and a spacious upper-level function space perfect for birthdays and other events
