Since the first edition almost 100 years ago in 1930, the FIFA World Cup has grown to become the biggest sporting event in the world. Every four years, teams from across the globe compete for the chance to be crowned world champions.

The 23rd edition of tournament in 2026 will be significant as three countries host a World Cup for the first time featuring 48 team. Due to the distance between the 16 cities hosting matches across Canada, Mexico and the United States, venues have been split into west, central and east regions.

The central region features six stadiums across Mexico and the United States. Dallas-Fort Worth, Guadalajara, Houston, Kansas City, Mexico City and Monterrey are due to host 34 games with Dallas-Fort Worth due to host a semi-final.

Dallas – Dallas Stadium (AT & T Stadium)

Home of the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League, the stadium features a capacity of 80,000. The stadium is due to host five group stage matches, two round of 32 matches, one round of 16 match and a semifinal.

Guadalajara – Estadio Guadalajara (Estadio Akron)

Home of Mexican football team Chivas de Guadalajara, the stadium features a capacity of 49,813. The stadium is due to host four group stage matches.

Houston – Houston Stadium (NRG Stadium)

Home of the Houston Texans in the National Football League, the stadium features a capacity of 72,220. The stadium is due to host five group stage matches, one round of 32 match and one round of 16 match.

Kansas City – Kansas City Stadium (Arrowhead Stadium)

Home of the Kansas City Chiefs in the National Football League, the stadium features a capacity of 76,416. The stadium is due to host four group stage matches, one round of 32 match and a quarter final.

Mexico City – Mexico City Stadium (Estadio Banorte/Estadio Azteca)

Home of Mexican football team Club America the stadium features a capacity of 87,523. The stadium is due to host three group stage matches, one round of 32 match and one round of 16 match.

Monterrey – Monterrey Stadium (Estadio BBVA)

Home of Mexican football team Monterrey, the stadium features a capacity of 53,529. The stadium is due to host three group stage matches and one round of 32 match.
