How to Visit Namba Yasaka Shrine in Osaka

The Namba Yasaka Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in the Namba area of Osaka. The shrine is well known for the larger-than-life lion head stage which has become a popular photo spot for visitors.

The 12 metres tall lion head is believed to swallow evil spirits and bring good luck to visitors. The shrine also features a small temple building.

The shrine is located approximately 10-minute walk from Namba Station on the Nankai line. Admission to the shrine is free.
