

The Great Southern Hotel is a pub and hotel located in Haymarket, just south of Sydney’s CBD. Once a popular choice for those visiting from country NSW, the hotel remains popular due to its proximity to Central Station.
The Farmer’s Hotel had occupied the since 1858 before it was rebuilt in 1903 and given its current name. Like many pub/hotels around Sydney, the venue was redesigned in the art deco style during the 1930s. Most of the exterior remains with virtually unchanged with parts of the having renovated several times since.
The venue still offers accommodation with a number of different rooms types available for visitors to choose from.
