The Baxter Inn is a whiskey bar located in the centre of Sydney’s CBD. The bar began as a hidden bar but has since become of the Sydney’s most popular bars and one of the best whisky bars in the world.

The Baxter Inn is a Whiskey bar through and through with the back of the stacked to the ceiling with every kind of whiskey you can think of and some you probably hadn’t thought of to. The drinks menu also includes cocktails, beers and wines with all drinks served with a bowl of pretzels.

You’ll find The Baxter Inn down the the same alleyway off of Clarence Street that also leads to The Duke of Clarence, which it located directly opposite the door that leads down to the bar. Once you descend down to the basement, you’ll find a dimly lit bar with a tone of character. Although only open since 2014, there’s a well-worn feel about the place, feeling like it’s been here forever.
