Pub Review: El Loco at Slip Inn, CBD, Sydney

El Loco at Slip Inn is a pub and Mexican restaurant located close to Darling Harbour in Sydney’s CBD. The pub is housed in heritage listed building that was built in 1903.

Originally known as The Royal George Hotel the pub became the Slip Inn in the late 1990s. The current Mexican theme was added in the early 2010s and became the second pub in Sydney to carry the El Loco name after the Excelsior Hotel in Surry Hills.

The pub is famous for being the location where Mary and Prince Frederick of Denmark met during the Sydney 2000 Olympics, which is the reason for the Danish flag hanging outside.
