Cronulla Beach is a public beach located in the suburb of Cronulla, a southern suburb of Sydney. Although small, compared to some of Sydney’s other beaches, its location and accessibility makes it one of the city’s best.
The beach is also referred to as South Cronulla beach to differentiate itself from North Cronulla Beach which is located across the Alley, a walkway which connects the two beaches. The alley also provides access to the beach’s two natural rock pools.
The connecting Cronulla Park is a popular spot for those visiting the beach with park’s tower palm trees providing cover from the heat. The Cronulla Pavilion and the Cronulla Lifesaving Club, two historic art deco buildings sit alongside the beach, and are both part of the area’s strong beach culture.
The beach is easily accessible via the Sydney Trains rail network with Cronulla Station located a short 5–10-minute walk away.
