The Meridian Hotel is pub located in Hurstville a suburb in Sydney’s south. The venue opened in 1927 and has been previously known as the White Horse, Stallions, the Roundabout.
The hotel opened as the white horse hotel and was constructed in the interwar architectural style and would have been an imposing site when first constructed in first road and area which has since change quite considerably. To celebrate the opening of the hotel, open bar was offered for two hours to the first visitors where approximately 2727 litres of beer was poured.
The pub has evolved in the near 100 years since its opening in order to better cater to the changing demographic of the local area. The interior features a popular Asian bistro and small front bar area whilst out back you’ll find an open bar area with pool tables and large screens which regularly show live sports. The hotel still offers accommodation with 28 recently renovated rooms.
