The Hurstville Ritz Hotel is a pub located in Hurstville, a suburb south of Sydney. The pub’s name has changed from hotel and ritz before combining the two into the name it bears today.
The original venue featured a Victorian design that was completely remodelled in the 1930s with an art deco design that is still used today. The pub was given another facelift in the 1990s where a glass awning and outdoor section was added along Forest Road.
The pub was affectionately known as Shanny’s Hotel after former licensee Martin Shanny who was with the hotel for over 40 years.
