The Park View Hotel is pub located in Alexandria an inner southern suburb of Sydney. The pub has operated from same location and with the same name from across Erskineville Oval since 1898.
The venue’s early history, especially during the 1920s and 1930s, was colourful to say the least becoming known as one of the city’s toughest pubs. Several instances involving Sydney’s famous razor gangs are known to have taken place within the walls of the over 100-year-old pub.
These day’s the atmosphere with the Park View Hotel is far more laid back, a family friendly venue that caters to the demographic of modern-day Alexandria. Most the pub’s exterior design remains intact with the interiors having been heavily modernised to suit the venue’s current clientele.
