Casino Review: Bellagio, Las Vegas

Bellagio is a casino and hotel located in Las Vegas. The casino opened in 1998 and currently features 3,933 rooms. The current casino occupies the site of the legendary Dunes Casino which occupied the site from 1955 to 1993.

The casino’s design was inspired by the town of Bellagio near Lake Como in Italy. The hotel set a new standard for luxury in Las Vegas and was a large part of the drastic shift that took place in the city during the 1990s.

The hotel’s signature attraction is the Fountains of Bellagio; a dancing water fountain located in the man-made lake in front of the hotel. Since the opening of the casino the fountain quickly became a symbolic of modern Las Vegas.

Other popular attractions located with the resort include a gallery of fine art, a botanical garden and the Dale Chihuly glass sculpture Fiori Di Como, the largest glass sculpture in the world.

The hotel features a 14,500 square meter casino with 2,700 slot machines and 173 table games.
