The Old Clare Hotel is a pub and hotel located in Chippendale close to the centre of Sydney’s CBD. The current pub is a great example of an old structure that has been reposed in a way that is respectful of the past.

A pub has occupied the current site since 1848 with the current art deco building dating back to 1939. The building remains as reminder of the area’s past the surrounding area has changed drastically.

In 2015, the old pub and the adjoining headquarters of a former brewery were converted into the Old Clare Hotel offering a modern Australian pub experience with boutique accommodation.
