The Ball & Chain is a historic bar located along Calle Ocho in the Little Havana area of Miami. The near 100-year-old bar features a colourful history that was carefully brought back to life in 2014 becoming a must visit when in the area.

The bar was known as the Ball & Chain Saloon from the time of its opening in 1935 until the end of the 1950s. The bar later became the Copa Lounge Tavern for about decade before becoming a furniture shop and nightclub and ultimately closing and remaining closed for decades.

The bar reopened in 2014 as a cocktail bar with a heavy emphasis on live music. The current iteration of the venue pays homage to the original bar with the exterior recreated perfectly. On the inside you’ll find walls covered in pictures and memorabilia that tell the long and eventful history of the venue.
