Train Station Guide: Marrakesh Railway Station, Marrakesh

Marrakesh Railway Station is the principal train station serving the city of Marrakech in Morocco. The station serves as the final, southern stop on Morocco’s national railway system.

The current station building opened in 2008 replacing the former building that was constructed in 1923 during the French protectorate. The new station building is clean, modern and was built in the Arabian style that doesn’t stray too far in style from what you’ll find across most of the city’s historic architecture.

From Marrakesh, travellers can choose between direct trains to Casablanca or Fez. At Casa-Voyageurs Railway Station in Casablanca can connect to trains that head to either Tangeir or Oujda in northern Morocco.
