Restaurant Review: El Rinconcillo, Sevilla

El Rinconcillo is a restaurant and bar located in Sevilla. The venue is recognized as the oldest bar in the city dating back over 350 years to 1670. The restaurant is well preserved and is the perfect place to experience the classic charm of a city like Sevilla.

The restaurant has been owned by the De Rueda family for over a hundred years who expanded the venue by purchasing the building next door, expanding the original bar’s restaurant space. Ideally, you’ll want to try and get a standing spot at the bar which is located inside the original tavern building.

This is the best place to appreciate the history of the venue and the old-time charm that has been expertly persevered. You’ll be severed attentively by waistcoat and bow tie wearing bar tenders who note down your bill in chalk across the wooden bar.

The restaurant is known for its mouthwatering meals and tapas so be sure to try one, or two, during your visit and wash it down with a drink from venue’s extensive wine menu.
