

The Railway Hotel is pub located in the suburb of Lidcombe is Sydney’s west. The pub is the oldest in the area having operating under different names since 1876.
The pub opened originally as the Haslam’s Creek Railway Hotel before changing its name to the Rookwood Railway Hotel before eventually becoming the Railway Hotel.
Like most pubs around Sydney, the hotel was renovated in the 1930s in the art deco style. The venues exterior façade still features the popular style of the time however the interiors have changed several times since. The current interiors attempt to retain some of the art deco style with various historical photos of the venue also documenting its long history.
