TRIP Located in the Inner West of Sydney, Leichhardt Oval Is a multi-purpose stadium that has a capacity of 20,000. The stadium is predominately used for rugby league, but also hosts rugby and football matches.

TAP Leichhardt Oval consists of two undercover, seated stands as well as an unseated hill area that covers a large part of the stadium. The stadium’s smaller size means that regardless of where you’re seated, you feel close to the action. The towering fig trees at the far end of the ground help to keep the atmosphere in during games, and also contribute to the stadium’s overall unique character.

Although atmospheric and full of character, the stadium’s facilities may fall short of some visitor’s expectations. Food and drink facilities, for example, struggle to meet demand, and getting around the stadium can be difficult when arriving and leaving an event. Despite these issues, the stadium has more history and character than most modern Australian stadiums making it an excellent place for sports fans to enjoy a game.

GO The best way to get to Leichhardt Oval is via Sydney’s light rail network (Leichhardt North Station). Check Trip Planner for the best way to get there from your location.
