Arena Guide: Rogers Arena, Vancouver

Rogers Arena is a multi-purpose arena located in Downtown Vancouver, Canada. The arena open in 1995 and features a maximum seating capacity of 19,700. The primarily serves as the home of the National Hockey League’s Vancouver Canucks.

The arena was built to replace the Pacific Coliseum, the city’s former indoor arena. At the time of its opening, the arena also served as the home of the National Basketball Association’s Vancouver Grizzlies until the team relocated to Memphis in 2001.

Apart from hockey and basketball, the stadium has also hosted professional wrestling, UFC, concerts and the Juno awards.

The arena’s location in downtown Vancouver makes it easy to reach from anywhere in the city.  The stadium is accessible via Stadium/Chinatown Station on the Expo Line of Vancouver’s SkyTrain rapid transit system.
