

Francis Olympic Field is a stadium located in St. Louis. The stadium opened in 1904 featuring a capacity of 19,000. The stadium is best known for having been the main venue for the 1904 Summer Olympic Games.
The stadium was built for the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, also known as the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair and coinciding with the 1904 Summer Olympics. Post Olympics the stadium became part of Washington University.
The stadium is the oldest Olympic Stadium that is still used for regular sporting events. As part of Washington University, the stadium is used for the university’s track and field, cross country, football and association football teams.
The stadium is located on the grounds of Washinton University. The stadium is accessible via the city’s Metro Bus network and the University City-Big Bend station on the St. Louis Metro Link’s blue line.
