

The Rocky Steps and Rocky Statue are two popular tourist attractions located in Philadelphia. Both have become synonymous with the Rocky film series and are great example of the connection between filmmaking and tourism.
The Rocky Steps are a series of 72 steps that lead up to the east entrance of Philadelphia Museum of Art. The steps are featured at the climax of the iconic training scene in the 1976 film Rocky, the first in the series. The scene as since become one of the most famous in modern film history with the steps becoming arguably one of the most famous filming locations in the world.
The Rocky Statue is a 3-metre-tall bronze statue of Rocky Balboa, the titular character of the Rocky film series. The statue was commissioned for the 1982 film Rocky III and placed at the top of the Rocky Steps. Once filming the statue was moved around different locations in the city before it was given a permanent home at the bottom right of the steps.
The Rocky Steps and Rocky Statue are located at the end of Benjamin Franklin Parkway, a boulevard that connects the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Philadelphia City Hall.
