Stadium Guide: Jamsil Baseball Stadium, Seoul

Jamsil Baseball Stadium is baseball stadium located in Seoul, South Korea. The stadium was built in 1982 and features a capacity of 25,000. The official name of the stadium is Seoul Sports Complex Baseball Stadium.

The stadium’s design has remained virtually unchanged since its construction in the early 1980s as Korea’s first baseball stadium. The crescent shape of the main stand behind home plate ensures the majority of the seats have excellent views of the game the mountains and buildings beyond the outfield. 

The stadium was used for all baseball matches at the 1988 Olympic Games, although the sport was only a demonstration sport at that edition of the games. The stadium still hosts baseball and is currently the home field of LG Twins and Doosan Bears both teams that compete in the KBO League.

Jamsil Baseball Stadium is located within the Seoul Sports Complex an area of the city that features many of the venues used at the 1988 Olympic Games. The stadium is easily accessible via the Seoul Metro, alight at the Sports Complex Station, part of Line 2 and 9.
