Airport Review: Aswan International Airport (ASW)

Aswan International Airport is primarily domestic airport serving the city of Aswan in Egypt. The airport serves as the gateway to many of the archaeological sites in the city and surrounding area.

The does not serve as hub or focus city for any airline offering limited services to Cairo and Abu Simbel via Egypt Air, Air Cairo and Nile Air.

The airport features a single runway that services the single terminal building. The design of the terminal building is inspired by many of the of the great archaeological sites that are found in and around Aswan. The inside of the terminal features a simple range of amenities that perfectly acceptable for an airport of this size.

The airport is located approximately 16km from the city centre. Taxis and bus services are available but we strongly recommend you organise and personal transfer with your hotel before you arrive.
