Bar Review: Billy Barry’s, North Sydney, Sydney

Billy Barry’s is a popular bar located in the heart of North Sydney above the corner of Blue Street and the Pacific Highway.

The bar features a laid-back atmosphere and feels like a cross between an Irish bar and a sports bar. The walls of the bar are covered almost entirely with vintage beer ads and other knick knacks giving the venue the feel of an over-the-top home bar or garage bar.

You’ll find two pools tables in the back corner that are overlooked by a life size statue of the Bundaberg Rum polar bear. A row of comfy, chesterfield-style booths line the front of the venue that overlook the streets of North Sydney below.

The bar is located across the street from North Sydney station making it a popular spot for many of the city’s office workers to grab a drink before catching the train home.
