Chase Center is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in San Francisco, California. The arena opened in 2019 featuring a capacity of 18,064 for basketball with the capability of expanding to 19,500 for other events held at the arena. The arena is the home court of the NBA basketball team Golden State Warriors.
The arena was built to replace the Warrior’s former home Oracle Arena in nearby Oakland which had hosted the team for 48 years. Featuring an ultra-modern, asymmetric design with a twisted white façade, the arena opens up on both sides by spacious glass atriums. The plaza on the arena’s west side is one of the venue’s best features and is a great place for visitors to congregate before an event.
The interiors are equally modern with concourses resembling the headquarters of many of the tech companies that call the Bay Area home. The seating bowl features two sections: the expansive lower level and smaller, steeper upper level that is separated by several exclusive suites and lounges. You won’t find a bad seat in the house with the arena featuring the largest video scoreboard in the league that is almost as long as the court.
Apart from basketball, the arena hosts approximately 200 other events per year with everything from concerts to professional wrestling able to utilise the arena’s modern design to great effect.
The arena is located in Mission Bay a neighbourhood on the east side of San Francisco. Visitors can reach the arena using the Muni Metro light rail system with the UCSF/Chase Center station located directly adjacent to the arena’s main entrance plaza.
