Cocktail Recipe: Mojito

The Mojito is a classic cocktail originating from Cuba. Originally believed to have been more of medicinal drink that was used to cure diseases on the island. One theory suggests English explorer Francis Drake came across an early version of the cocktail in Havana when searching for a remedy for an illness that had plagued the crew of one of his ships.

It has since become one of the most popular cocktails in the world due its connection to famous writer Ernest Hemmingway and its presence in many films, mostly notably in Die Another Day where it features prominently in one of the movies most memorable scenes.
