The Dirt is a bar located in downtown Houston, Texas. The bar is one of the city’s best rock and roll hangouts regularly attracting famous rock musicians whenever they’re in town.

The bar was originally a lot smaller and was located in the Heights area of Houston. We never had the chance to visit the original location, but from what we’ve heard, the new location maintains much of what made the old bar great.

The interior of the bar is bare bones, literally, with a ceiling high skeleton watching over the main centrally placed bar. The bar is dimly lit, with most light coming from the street lights just outside on Caroline Street.

The bar’s downtown location makes it a great choice when visiting other downtown attractions such as the House of Blues (across the street) and the Toyota Centre a short 5-minute walk away.
