TRIP Located within Heineken’s first brewery, the Heineken Experience is an interactive tour covering the history of Heineken. Equal parts informative and interactive, the experience provides a fascinating look into what is unquestionably one of the world’s most popular beer brands.
TAP The Heineken Experience can be found within the brand’s art deco brewery building in central Amsterdam. Built in 1867 the building was used to produce beer up until 1988 when the facility could no longer keep up with demand. Since then the building has been repurposed into a museum/tour dedicated to telling the story of Heineken. Whether you’re a fan of Heineken or not, a visit to the Heineken Experience is a great way to learn more about one of Holland’s greatest ever exports.
Before the tour begins visitors are issued with wristbands containing two tokens which can be redeemed for two Heineken’s at the end of the tour. The majority of the experience is led by knowledgeable tour guides who lead guests through various rooms containing numerous artefacts and memorabilia from the brand’s long history. During the tour there are a number of interactive areas that allow visitors to get involved in the experience. One of the highlights from the tour is the old brewing room which still looks exactly as it would have when the building was still producing beer.
GO The Heineken Experience is open from 10:30 to 7:30, Monday to Thursday, and 10:30 to 9:00, Friday to Sunday.
