TRIP Since opening in 1927, Grauman’s Chinese Theatre has become one of Los Angeles’ top attractions and an icon of the Hollywood film industry. The Chinese theatre is world renowned for its storied history and the numerous celebrity impressions (handprints, footprints and signatures) that adorn the theatre’s elaborate entrance.

TAP Although the Chinese theatre is still a fully functional film theatre, the majority of its visitors come to see the wide variety of celebrity footprints and handprints outside the theatre’s main entrance. TTG FACT Many of the older impressions include personal messages to “Sid”, these are in reference to Sid Grauman, creator of the Chinese theatre.
